The VEX V5 Robotics Competition is designed for students in grades 6-12, while the VEX IQ Robotics Competition is intended for students in grades 3-8
Begin Your Robotics Adventure
The VEX Robotics Competition is the largest global event aimed at inspiring students to engage in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Teams design, build, and program robots to compete in various challenges, preparing students to become future innovators. 95% of participants report an increased interest in STEM subjects and careers. Tournaments are held year-round at regional, state, and national levels, culminating in the VEX Robotics World Championship each April. The competition also teaches valuable skills like teamwork, collaboration, time management, and communication.

VEX V5 Robotics Competition
May, 2025
V5RC teams will attend workshops to prepare for the Robotics Competition, competing in 3 or 4 local tournaments with the chance to qualify for the state championship. Joining InoBotics’ V5RC team is the first step toward becoming part of a World Champion robotics team. Students who have demonstrated enthusiasm and skills in our VEX summer camps, classes, or have progressed from our VEX IQ programs are invited to join. Each team will consist of 5 or 6 students with similar skill levels to ensure effective collaboration and growth. Throughout the season, team will gain hands-on experience, write C++ code, use CAD modeling for design, and improve their time management and leadership skills. This comprehensive approach ensures both technical growth and valuable life skills, preparing students for success in robotics competitions and beyond.
VEX IQ Robotics Competition
May, 2025
VIQC teams will participate in workshops to prepare for the Robotics Competition. Each team will compete in 3 or 4 local tournaments, with a focus on skill development rather than competition results. Teams are made up of 3 or 4 students who have participated in our classes or summer camps and have some robotics experience. Throughout the season, students will strengthen their technical building skills, learn autonomous coding, and improve their driving abilities. Beyond technical training, students will have opportunities to build lasting friendships with like-minded peers and enhance their communication skills. Our goal is to emphasize the Engineering Design Process, equipping teams with the knowledge to design, build, code, and test their ideas from start to finish. This student-driven approach fosters problem-solving and helps students overcome challenges throughout their robotics journey. We welcome students with diverse talents and interests to join our teams and begin their robotics adventure.
